Richard Cook
RICHARD COOK is best known as a talent agent.
He is co-founder of the Lisa Richards Agency (www.lisarichards.ie) whose clients include Aidan Turner, Frankie Boyle, Pauline McLynn and Robert Sheehan.
He is Artistic Director of Subtitle (www.subtitlefest.com), a European Film Festival based in Kilkenny, Ireland, which has rapidly become the biggest casting event in the world; in the relaxed, informal setting of Kilkenny city, it connects influential casting directors from the US, UK, Europe and Ireland with a small selection of European actors.
In 1995, Richard set up the Cat Laughs Comedy Festival in Kilkenny (www.thecatlaughs.com), which has become one of the top comedy festivals in the world, hosting well known comedians such as Bill Murray, Zak Galifianakis, Eddie Izzard and Jo Brand.
In 2010, he founded Kilkenomics (www.kilkenomics.com), a festival where well known economists and popular stand-up comedians discuss key economic issues of the day.
Richard was Executive Producer on SISTERS Series 1 and produced THE INHERITANCE.
Angela Squire
ANGELA SQUIRE was with Universal Pictures for 13 years where she worked as Vice President of Artists & Repertoire and Acquisitions. Angela's experience spans developing, producing and acquiring content across many genres for worldwide distribution and optimising distribution plans for each project. As part of her remit, Angela spotted and helped develop emerging talent.
The projects Angela ran were very wide ranging, including Comedy, Drama, Documentary, Film, Music and Musicals. Angela signed Mrs. Brown's Boys to Universal (the Live shows, the TV shows and D'Movie) and scripted comedy including Plebs and Not Going Out, many comedians, Conor McGregor: Notorious the biggest grossing Irish documentary film and 89 the biggest selling film for Our Screen.
Angela also invested in a range of quality UK scripted drama including Mike Bartlett's acclaimed and BAFTA nominated King Charles III, Sally Wainwright's To Walk Invisible, Marcella, Grantchester, Julian Fellowes adaptation of Doctor Thorne, The Secret, Peter & Wendy and Esio Trot.
Angela is Artistic Director of international comedy festival, The Kilkenny Cat Laughs, and produced The Thunder Girls which broke Box Office records for fastest ticket sales for a new work at The Lowry, Salford.
Before Universal Pictures, Angela worked at BBC Worldwide, the BBC and law firm Denton Hall amassing 30 years of experience across Production & Development, Acquisitions, Legal & Business Affairs and Sales & Distribution.
Angela was Executive Producer on SISTERS Series 1 and on THE INHERITANCE, Peer Pressure’s first two scripted productions.
MAEVE SHAW
MAEVE SHAW joined Peer Pressure in 2022 after graduating from University College Dublin with a first class honours in English, Drama & Film. Maeve had previously completed an internship with Subtitle Talent Agency and was entertainment liaison for the Subtitle Odesa Film Festival, held in Ukraine. Previously, she worked as an event manager, running events for companies such as SKY, GOOGLE and PFIZER. Maeve has since been involved in all aspects of Peer Pressure’s first two scripted productions SISTERS (2023) and THE INHERITANCE (2023). She currently acts as Festival Coordinator for the Cat Laughs Comedy Festival.
